Křížovnický Island
The Křížovnický Island is one of the less known of Prague islands. It is located under the Charles Bridge on the right bank of the Vltava River. The island begins under the pillar, which supports the Old Town Bridge Tower.
Until this day we can find on the island a remnant of the former Judith Bridge – one of its pillars. The adjacent arc of the Judith Bridge is built into the grandmasterl building of the Knights of the Cross Monastery (Křížovnický klášter). Below it still runs the arm of the Vltava River.
Already quite small Křížovnický Island was still reduced when adjusting the Knights of the Cross Square (Křížovnické náměstí) in the 19th century.
You can sail with us along the Křížovnický Island on board of our boats and steamboats, for example, during a romantic cruise with dinner or a one-hour cruise in the center of Prague.
