Kosárek Embankment
The Kosárek Embankment is one of the shorter Prague embankments and extends along the left bank of the Vltava River. It is considered one of the most beautiful Prague embankments.
It leads from Mánes Bridge along the Straka Academy, the seat of the Czech Government, and continues to the Public Swimming Bath. The street was originally known as U Vltavy (By the Vltava), later as the Straka Embankment and was renamed to the Kosárek Embankment in 1961. It is named after 19th century Czech painter Adolf Kosárek, who was immensely talented, but died at a very young age.
You can see the embankment during most of our cruises on the Vltava River that embark from Čech Bridge.
